CAUTION: Design Different only works for candidates who don’t suck. This qualification sounds highly subjective, but there are actually lots of objective traits that sucky candidates tend to share.

• Are you already planning to cash out?
• Have you lost your fire?
• Have you lost your idealism?
• Would you rather have a public photo taken with Obama than have ten secret minutes to just talk to him?

If you answered ‘Yes’ to any of those, then find someone else.
